What Can Elective Ultrasound Do?

  Our scans start at 6 weeks, when we can measure baby and see a heartbeat. If you have irregular cycles, this gives an estimated due date.

• Reassurance Scan

  If mom is feeling anxious, having the ability to get a quick ultrasound at any time during pregnancy can be very calming. Keeping stress level low is important for mom and baby.

• Gender Determination

  With specialized skills that are not taught to general sonographers, our lead sonographer has thousands of correct gender determinations in a row, starting at 13 weeks of pregnancy.

Is Elective Ultrasound Safe?

• Ultrasound Safety

Ultrasound technology has been used for over 20 years and has an excellent safety record. It is based on non-ionizing radiation, so it does not have the same risks as X-rays or other types of imaging systems that use ionizing radiation.

• Our Standards

We operate our equipment at the safest level. All ultrasounds are limited in time according to the gestational age of the baby. The anatomy scan you have at 20 weeks is more than twice the scan time and acoustic output of any of our sessions. Simply put, we set stricter safety standards for elective ultrasound than most diagnostic ultrasounds.

All of our sonographers hold degrees in ultrasound, are registered with the ARDMS, and have years of experience in obstetrical scanning and 99.99% accuracy in determining early gender!
